Pramod SharmaDirector cum
Principal
Pramod Sharma brings with him the experience of a
career in education spanning 37 years. He started with
teaching assignments in Chemistry at The Doon School. He
also taught in Kabul, Nigeria and later at the Mayo
College, Ajmer. He has served as Principal for over 2
decades across various institutions, including the T.N.
Academy- Gangtok, Yadavindra Public School- Patiala and
Mayo College-Ajmer. Mayo College was placed among the
best two residential schools by various cross country
polls during his 13 year tenure as Principal. His tenure
at Mayo is considered most successful, by all
stakeholders.
He was awarded the National Award for Teachers in
2000 by the President of India. His decade long tenure
as member of the Governing Body of the CBSE was much
commended. He has been Convenor, Intach – Ajmer &
Pushkar and Vice Chairman of the Rajasthan Scouts and
Guides. He is an Ex-Chairman Indian Public Schools
Conference and a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement
Award from IPSC in 2008.
An avid sportsperson, he continues to enjoy his game
of Tennis and Badminton. He looks forward to creating a
day cum boarding school that will offer excellent sports
facilities, combined with the international flavour of
modern education.
Gurbir SinghDirector –
Sports & Estate
An alumnus of The Lawrence School, Sanawar, Gurbir
Singh went on to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering.
He has 39 years of experience in an exciting and diverse
career encompassing active sports participation at the
international level, sports administration, engineering
and business consulting with multinational companies. An
Olympian shooter, Gurbir Singh has been honoured by the
President of India with the 'Arjuna Award' for Lifetime
Achievement in Sports. He has served on the Indian
Shooting Team for over 20 years.
He successfully groomed both his sons to pursue
shooting & golf as rewarding career options. His elder
son Manavjit Singh is an Olympian and a World Champion
in trap shooting; recipient of the 'Arjuna Award' and
the 'Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna'. Gurbir and Manavjit have
the unique distinction of being the only father-son duo
in the country who are both Olympians and Arjuna Award
winners.Between father and son they have continuously
represented India for 37 years!
As President of the Punjab Shooting Association,
Gurbir Singh is deeply committed to developing sports
from the grass root level. He has devoted his life to
spread the Olympic movement in India and is Vice
President of the Olympians Association of India. At
Genesis he continues to pursue his lifelong and abiding
passion of promoting sporting excellence in children and
the youth. His mission is to make sports "an anchor for
a fulfilling life" of every Genesis student.
A.N. DarChief Mentor
Mr. Dar, an ex-student of The Scindia
School, Gwalior went on to serve with distinction, the
English faculty at The Doon School, Dehradun for over 30
years.
Later he capped his illustrious career by serving as
the Principal of Scindia School. He has been honored
with Madhav Award by Scindia School for his outstanding
contribution to the field of education for the year
2009. His wide experience in academics and pastoral care
would be invaluable to all at Genesis.
Neeti Bhalla SainiHead -
Junior School
An alumnus of The Doon School, Mrs. Saini is a
respected name in the field of Junior School education
especially in the Primary Year Programme (PYP) of
International Baccalaureate (IB).
Her last assignment has been as PYP Coordinator at
Pathways World School, Aravali. Gurgaon. Her rich
experience and outstanding abilities will add great
value to our junior school, which she will be heading.
